LOSD Gathering Experience for the 2024 ELCA Gathering. 

”Every three years, thousands of high school youth and their adult leaders from across the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America gather for a week of faith formation known as the ELCA Youth Gathering. Through days spent in interactive learning, worship, Bible study, service and fellowship, young people grow in faith and are challenged and inspired to live their faith in their daily lives.”

Since 2012, Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota has provided travel experiences to attend the ELCA Youth Gatherings. These trips have provided a chance for extended community within our Synod, and provide support for logistics and administrative work to assist volunteers and staff in partner congregations.

LO GATHERING EXPERIENCE
(Includes travel, planning, administration, hotel, registration, shirt/giveaways, and an additional day/evening experience)
Dates: July 14-20
Cost: $1,200 - Before October 15th. Pricing increase is reflected in the registration cost increase from the Gathering.
Hotel: Sheraton New Orleans Hotel

We have 6 FULL buses traveling to New Orleans this summer.

[Payment Schedule]
The cost is $1,200 per participant, including adult leaders. There will be three payments to the Lutherans Outdoors throughout the year. Each payment is non-refundable, as we are financially responsible for the number of registrations we have at each payment period.
August 15-September 15, 2023: $375 per participant
February 1, 2024: $450 per participant
May 1, 2024: $375 per participant

Communication takes place via email, and goes to the Primary Leader in congregations, to be shared with adult leaders as you see fit.
