A weekend for women to spend quality time with other women in the beautiful Black Hills.
April 6-8, 2018
Friday 7:00 p.m. to Sunday 11:00 a.m.
Theme: Nourishing Body & Soul
Come to Outlaw Ranch for a time to breathe, unwind from the stress and demands of daily life, and renew your faith. Experience faith practices that will help us nourish our souls, such as devotional Bible reading, hospitality, prayers around the cross, praying while walking, and end-of-day reflection. Take time in God’s beautiful creation, as you experience the renewal of the land in this spring season. This weekend will include small- and large-group conversations, sharing time, outdoor activities, wonderful food, worship, singing, and meeting new friends.
Take time to deepen friendships and focus on the things that are most important in our lives.
Come alone or with friends and find kindred spirits. Give yourself the gift of time and renewal in this holy place.
Laura Lee Campbell and Penny Steinken, Deacons of the ELCA, have served parishes in the Bear Butte Conference of the SD Synod for decades. They are anxious to share with you a few of the faith practices that they have found helpful in their lives. These faith practices were experienced during a two-year participation in the Grace Institute for Spiritual Formation, a program offered through Luther College at the Shalom Center in Dubuque, Iowa. Laura Campbell currently serves at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Spearfish, and Penny Steinken currently serves at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rapid City.
