A Road Scholar educational adventure planned and run by Outlaw Ranch.

Aug 27 - Sep 1; Sep 3-8; Sep 17-22, 2017

Bike through the heart of the beautiful and scenic Black Hills on the hard-packed, limestone George S. Mickelson Trail, following the historic Burlington Northern rail line. Choose to bike the entire 110 miles of trail if you like. Along the way learn about natural and historic features. Evening speakers bring local color to the natural and human history of the Black Hills.

Highlights:

Bike different sections of the scenic Mickelson Trail each day, enjoying a great variety of terrain including pine forests, rock cliffs, streams and prairies.

Experience field trips to Deadwood, the Needles Highway and Crazy Horse Memorial.

At Mount Rushmore, attend an inspirational ranger program and the lighting of the monument.

Stay at Outlaw Ranch in the Vision Quest Lodge or the Barn Retreat Center, surrounded by ponderosa pine forests and the peaks of the Black Hills. Delicious home-cooked meals are served in the dining hall and packed lunches are eaten along the bike trail.
