Outlaw Ranch is currently seeking to hire a new program director.

Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota has an exciting opportunity to join the year-round ministry team as the Program Director at Outlaw Ranch. Located outside of Custer, SD in the beautiful Black Hills, Outlaw Ranch has been serving youth and families year-round since 1958. 

The role of the Program Director is to further the mission of Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota by providing outstanding ministry experiences for people of all ages. Responsible for direct supervision of staff, campers, and program activities for one of the summer camp programs and the fall and spring environmental education program. During the winter season, this position includes program planning for several retreats and acting as the primary retreat host with housekeeping duties.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the Program Director for the Outlaw Ranch summer camp programs, planning, programming, and facilitating daily schedules and activities in coordination with the Camp Director and Assistant Director.
  • Serve as the coordinator and supervisor of the environmental education program at Outlaw Ranch, communicating with schools, scheduling and training staff, and teaching curriculum.
  • Assist with retreat and conference operations at Outlaw Ranch. This includes some planning and coordinating for programmed retreats, as well as hosting retreat groups and cleaning of camp facilities.
  • Assist where needed and assigned as part of the Lutherans Outdoors staff team.
