With a sad heart Lutherans Outdoors in SD is saying goodbye to Pastor Molly Sasser-Goehner who is stepping down as Director of Outlaw Ranch and Atlantic Mountain Ranch on September 15th, 2013.
We are so thankful to Pastor Molly for her time as the Director and for the leadership she brought to the camps and we are grateful for the multitude of gifts she shared with both the guests and staff of Lutherans Outdoors.
God's peace and blessings to Pastor Molly! As she closed each week of camp withthe Prayer of Good Courage, we also pray as she ventures on.
"Lord God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord."- Evening Prayer, Lutheran Book of Worship

Pastor Molly shares these words of thanks to the people she served.....
Dear Friends of Lutherans Outdoors in SD,
Through much prayer, thought, and conversation with trusted friends, I
have decided to resign from the position of Director of Outlaw Ranch and
Atlantic Mountain Ranch effective September 15, 2013.
Outlaw Ranch and Atlantic Mountain Ranch are outstanding outdoor ministries comprised of faithful people in a beautiful setting. I am grateful and proud to have been a part of one of the best outdoor ministry organizations in the nation. The staff and volunteers are passionate and dedicated; they love Jesus, all people, and God's
creation. I am humbled by the grace and commitment I have witnessed. I am inspired by the lives that have been changed by encountering Christ through community and creation at Outlaw Ranch, Atlantic Mountain Ranch, and all the LO camps.
I have been humbled by the wonderful support for Outlaw and Atlantic Mountain Ranch. Thank you for the priority and emphasis you place on outdoor ministry among your congregations.
Thank you for entrusting the leadership of Outlaw Ranch and Atlantic Mountain Ranch to me for the past few years. It has been a privilege and honor to lead, learn, and grow through these two ministries.
There are challenging decisions and new opportunities for ministry ahead for Lutherans Outdoors in South Dakota. I commend LOSD for taking bold steps to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all. As people who live and proclaim the cross and risen life of Jesus Christ, we trust that while moments of sorrow come in the night, joy will come again in the morning.
I will be on leave from call for a couple months this fall while I take some time to visit friends and take a few continuing education classes. Allen will remain at South Canyon Lutheran Church, and we will stay in Custer. Thanks again for all your support and prayers over the past few years.
Pastor Molly Sasser-Goehner
